I called to ask this company to work with a local elementary school for their fundraiser a month in advance, which they agreed to and then backed out the week before.
The owner, Daryl, while kind and willing to work with us, the scheduler, Mary Beth was unprofessional and rude. In her texts she said, "this was a decision for her to make not Daryl (the owner)". I guess I shouldn't have reached out to the owner and should have reached out to her. Haha.
I love to support small businesses but there are many other businesses out there that I'd rather promote and support!
On our way down we even saw a herd of deer running in the forest, truly a magical experience for height lovers!

Thank you so much for such a great experience and I’m so glad I was a part of the first 2013 flight. It was one of the most enjoyable things I have ever done and I can’t wait to do it again. The sunrise flight was absolutely beautiful and I have some great pictures to share with family and friends.
I would like to give a special “shout out” to Jackie because she made it happen so quickly. On Friday, January 4, I sent Jackie an email stating that my friend and I were interested in a hot air balloon ride. Within 15 minutes of sending this email, Jackie was calling me and asking if we could be there by 7:15 the next morning. Fortunately, everything worked out and we were able to be there and be part of the first flight of 2013.
Everyone should experience a hot air balloon ride at least once in their life…and that experience should be with Balloons Over Georgia.

Hello Jackie!!! I just wanted to say thanks to you and Mr. Daryl/Chase team for an amazing adventure that my husband and I will remember for a lifetime. Mostly, thank you for treating us like human beings. In our quest trying to find someone to fly us, we came across a few people that automatically said “NO” or over charging us due to our weight. I do understand that it is a major concern for the safety of all parties involved, but you all never mentioned it or made a big deal about it and for that I am truly grateful. I will spread the word about this wonderful professional team. You were definitely a blessing to us, and we will never forget it!!

Phyll and I are back In Jacksonville tonight safely! Just wanted you to know how much we enjoyed the flight. Jackie and Daryl did everything they could and promised to make it a great adventure. After flying US Navy airplanes from 1949 to 1977 but never in a balloon, I can say this flight was pure joy for an old aviator. I actually think I could do it with a small ground school orientation, but at 85 I don’t expect to try. Just wish the wind was a little stronger and blowing south.

My grandson, Hayden, and I were totally thrilled with our resent sunrise balloon ride. Three cheers for Balloons Over Georgia and their accomplished, friendly, and “safety first” crew. My main objective was to do something fun, unusual, and a bit daring (for this gramma anyway) and the whole experience exceeded my wishes and expectations. BOG even let my husband ride in the “chase car”! He got great video of the adventure …from preparation of the balloon for takeoff (what a fascinating procedure) to “touch down” and repacking the balloon (once again, fascinating to watch).
Hayden and I got neat pictures of the colorful sunrise from the air, Buford Damn, the most expensive home in Georgia, the reflection of our colorful balloon in the lake, cloud formations below and above us, etc., etc. However, the most precious pictures taken show the smile on grandson’s face as he soared high, gently, and safely…like a bird, over the earth, in excitement, wonder, and peacefulness.
Thank you BOG for making a very special memory that my grandson and I will remember forever! You made him feel so important by letting him help in small ways. I’m recommending you to all my friends! Everyone should experience a hot air balloon ride at least once in a lifetime!

We are regular visitors from the UK to our Cabin in Helen, Georgia, we had heard about the balloon festival but unfortunately we have not been able to come over at the right time of year. This year I thought we would treat ourselves to our own balloon flight. I contacted Daryl and asked if he could facilitate a flight from Helen, as I particularly wanted take some photographs of the area. Daryl and the crew met us on time at 7am at the back of the Helendorf Inn, within about 20 minutes we were gently rising into the sky. It was a magnificent sunrise with low level mist in the valleys and views of the distant mountains. We drifted south from Helen over Nacoochee Village, Nora Mill, the Winery and the Indian mound, we then drifted towards Sautee, passing over the village and the Amish farm. We set some deer running ahead of us as well as looking down on a flight of Canada Geese. The views and the silence was utterly breathtaking. After about 90 minutes it was time for Daryl to land, he put us down gently beside a road about 8 miles from our starting point. It was a trip of a lifetime so far, we will definitely be back flying with Daryl in the future, I think a sunset flight in the fall would be our next trip. Many thanks Daryl and crew for a wonderful experience.

As long as I can remember I have been a mother, a worker, a daughter, a teacher. This time I was myself, doing something for myself. This hot air balloon ride was incredible. I sailed, floated, and was totally blown away by my ride. Daryl and his crew are exceptional. I called one day and was able to ride the next. It was Nov 7, 2010 and the leaves were spectacular and even at one point, as we floated and the different colored array of leaves was our back drop, the balloon was in the shape of a heart. It was all captured on film. I recommend to all my family and friends and will be flying again. Sunset next time. Afterwards a celebration of life and living was provided for all guests.

The balloon ride was on my sister’s “bucket list”, not mine, but I am so glad I went along for the ride. Our nephew decided that his mother needed to check that off her list so he secretly invited us to come to Georgia from Ohio and my other sister and her husband to come from Florida. What a surprise and wonderful weekend we had with the Balloons Over Georgia flight the absolute highlight. We will talk about that for as long as we live.
Everything was handled very professionally and the view/scenery was spectacular. Coming from a rural, agricultural part of northwest Ohio I expected to lift off from a field somewhere, fly over open country and touch down in another field. WRONG! We flew over freeways, housing subdivisions and landed in the front yard of someone’s house. (“Watch that mailbox!!” Cleared it.) A perfect, easy landing. And what excitement in that neighborhood. You’d think we’d all known each other for years.
I’d do it again in a heartbeat. And what a climax for a wonderful weekend with family! Thanks, Daryl!

To celebrate our 20th anniversary we wanted to do something adventurous. I emailed Balloons over GA and the owner Daryl replied promptly with all the details that I needed to know. The day of the flight we had a GPS issue and we got delay for the ride. We called Daryl and he was very adjustable and waiting for us patiently.
The captain Daryl and his crew are very friendly. They are very professional and knowledgeable about flying. The ride was fantastic! It was very smooth and we got to see beautiful scenery. My two teenage kids enjoyed waving at people down and excited to see a deer running at landing. I recommend Balloons over Ga to anyone who wants to add some excitement for his or her life that you will never forget.

Simply amazing! We had a wonderful flight with Balloons Over Georgia and Capt Daryl Tatum was a true pro. These folks run a great business – great communication and expectation setting. The only surprise was how much I LOVED IT!
I am afraid of heights but this left me awestruck – Ok, sure I was afraid a few times but Daryl prepared us well, talked us through everything. So if you are like me (afraid) don’t let it stop you from this great adventure.
So lets move on from the fear of heights and talk about the flight. The sights were amazing. There was a heavy mist at day break as we saw Lake Lanier shimmer and shine, Sawnee Mountain was only a peak above the mist, and the Chattahoochee looking like a misty snake weaving in and out of the trees. We flew silently over neighborhoods, sometimes unnoticed by folks just below us and other times met by families still in their PJs waving at us with delight. It was as if we were a lovely bird gliding effortlessly. The flight was a amazing pairing of exhilaration and serenity and out landing was soft was a pillow. After packing up the balloon we enjoyed bit of chit chat over champagne and goodies. What a morning – I can’t wait to go again!

This was one of the highlights of my life! I purchased a balloon ride with Balloons Over Georgia for my husband for his 30th birthday. We did the sunrise balloon ride and words cannot express how beautiful it was!
Daryl and his crew seemed more like friends. They were friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming.
I would highly recommend Balloons Over Georgia. Daryl answered all of our questions thoroughly and has a warm, personable demeanor. He offered to take photos and made our experience relaxing and enjoyable.

Words can not express the experience Daymon and I had with Balloons over Georgia and with Daryl (owner) and Jacky (chaser) Daryl took us up for our 20 year wedding anniversary for the sunset trip. The flight was awsome!!! The whole experience from set up to the landing is one that I will never forget. We cruised up 400 and over Lake Lanier (at full pool) Daryl could answer any questions we had about what we were looking at and even added some personal info about where he met his wife! I highly recommend if a ride in a hot air balloon is on your bucket list….Please allow Daryl to mark that one off your list as a successful adventure.

Flying in a hot air balloon in the Atlanta area was a lot of fun. My wife and I were on a morning launch with 8 other people. The pilot/owner, Daryl Tatum, was very knowledgeable and made us feel very safe. He explained the parts of the balloon, safety protocols, the flight, and what to expect on landing. We were able to help the balloon crew with the balloon and saw wonderful sights during our trip. It was great fun and I highly recommend this adventure to everyone.
