Two years ago Theresia Arnold decided that the way to celebrate one of her decade birthdays was to go on a hot air balloon ride. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate. When the monsoons finally left, the thunderstorms stopped, and the schedule finally cooperated, the original provider was very elusive. Not to be deterred, Theresia found Daryl Tatum of Balloons Over Georgia. He was wonderful to work with. Yesterday, Theresia, her sister Wanda, my son Andrew and I met Daryl and some others in Cumming to go on our ride. Watching them prepare the balloon was so exciting. Seeing it begin to inflate was exhilarating. Then, we were in the basket and off–floating over North Georgia. Truly amazing!! The scenery, the peace, the good times just kept coming. We floated over trees, lakes, farms, golf courses, soccer fields and homes. We loved waving to people and wishing them a Happy Memorial Day!! Daryl could not have been a better pilot, tour guide and host!! I can’t wait to see Andrew’s pictures. We highly recommend Daryl and his crew for a most wonderful adventure!!

As long as I can remember I have been a mother, a worker, a daughter, a teacher. This time I was myself, doing something for myself. This hot air balloon ride was incredible. I sailed, floated, and was totally blown away by my ride. Daryl and his crew are exceptional. I called one day and was able to ride the next. It was Nov 7, 2010 and the leaves were spectacular and even at one point, as we floated and the different colored array of leaves was our back drop, the balloon was in the shape of a heart. It was all captured on film. I recommend to all my family and friends and will be flying again. Sunset nex time. Afterwards a clelbration of life and living was provided for all guests.

The balloon ride was on my sister’s “bucket list”, not mine, but I am so glad I went along for the ride. Our nephew decided that his mother needed to check that off her list so he secretly invited us to come to Georgia from Ohio and my other sister and her husband to come from Florida. What a surprise and wonderful weekend we had with the Balloons Over Georgia flight the absolute highlight. We will talk about that for as long as we live.
Everything was handled very professionally and the view/scenery was spectacular. Coming from a rural, agricultural part of northwest Ohio I expected to lift off from a field somewhere, fly over open country and touch down in another field. WRONG! We flew over freeways, housing subdivisions and landed in the front yard of someone’s house. (“Watch that mailbox!!” Cleared it.) A perfect, easy landing. And what excitement in that neighborhood. You’d think we’d all known each other for years.
I’d do it again in a heartbeat. And what a climax for a wonderful weekend with family! Thanks, Daryl!

To celebrate our 20th anniversary we wanted to do something adventurous. I emailed Balloons over GA and the owner Daryl replied promptly with all the details that I needed to know. The day of the flight we had a GPS issue and we got delay for the ride. We called Daryl and he was very adjustable and waiting for us patiently.
The captain Daryl and his crew are very friendly. They are very professional and knowledgeable about flying. The ride was fantastic! It was very smooth and we got to see beautiful sceneries. My two teenage kids enjoyed waving at people down and excited to see a deer running at landing. I recommend Balloons over Ga to anyone who wants to add some excitement for his or her life that you will never forget.

Simply amazing! We had a wonderful flight with Balloons Over Georgia and Capt Daryl Tatum was a true pro. These folks run a great business – great communication and expectation setting. The only surprise was how much I LOVED IT!
I am afraid of heights but this left me awestruck – Ok, sure I was afraid a few times but Daryl prepared us well, talked us through everything. So if you are like me (afraid) don’t let it stop you from this great adventure.
So lets move on from the fear of heights and talk about the flight. The sights were amazing. There was a heavy mist at day break as we saw Lake Lanier shimmer and shine, Sawnee Mountain was only a peak above the mist, and the Chattahoochee looking like a misty snake weaving in and out of the trees. We flew silently over neighborhoods, sometimes unnoticed by folks just below us and other times met by families still in their PJs waving at us with delight. It was as if we were a lovely bird gliding effortlessly. The flight was a amazing pairing of exhilaration and serenity and out landing was soft was a pillow. After packing up the balloon we enjoyed bit of chit chat over champagne and goodies. What a morning – I can’t wait to go again!

This was one of the highlights of my life! I purchased a balloon ride with Balloons Over Georgia for my husband for his 30th birthday. We did the sunrise balloon ride and words cannot express how beautiful it was!
Daryl and his crew seemed more like friends. They were friendly, knowledgable and welcoming.
I would highly recommend Balloons Over Georgia. Daryl answered all of our questions thoroughly and has a warm, personable demeanor. He offered to take photos and made our experience relaxing and enjoyable.
This was amazing and something that my husband and I will be talking about for years to come!

I cannot express how pleased I am with Balloons Over Georgia! This company is definitely the best! From the time I contacted the owner, Daryl Tatum, until the end of the flight I was very happy with the way he communicated back to me so quickly and always with the utmost respect and understanding. My daughters gave my husband a balloon ride for Father’s Day. It was such a wonderful surprise and amazing experience that it will be a great memory for all of us for years to come. Daryl is extremely knowledgeable, as well a true professional. It’s obvious he enjoys his work. He has a wonderful sense of humor and really makes each and every client truly feel special. His crew is also incredible! Such teamwork amongst them all.

Words can not express the experience Daymon and I had with Balloons over Georgia and with Daryl (owner) and Jacky (chaser) Daryl took us up for our 20 year wedding anniversary for the sunset trip. The flight was awsome!!! The whole experience from set up to the landing is one that I will never forget. We cruised up 400 and over Lake Lanier (at full pool) Daryl could answer any questions we had about what we were looking at and even added some personal info about where he met his wife! I highly recommend if a ride in a hot air balloon is on your bucket list….Please allow Daryl to mark that one off your list as a successful adventure.

Flying in a hot air balloon in the Atlanta area was a lot of fun. My wife and I were on a morning launch with 8 other people. The pilot/owner, Daryl Tatum, was very knowledgeable and made us feel very safe. He explained the parts of the balloon, safety protocols, the flight, and what to expect on landing. We were able to help the balloon crew with the balloon and saw wonderful sights during our trip. It was great fun and I highly recommend this adventure to everyone.
